Our Team are working tirelessly on a plan for the best way to assist as many people as we can in Tonga who have been affected.
Unfortunately, with no communication to anyone on the ground over there, it has slowed our progress and we need to make sure our plan is viable.
In the meantime, any donations to our website are always greatly appreciated and you can have confidence we will ensure they get to the people that need it and as many as we can. If you are a business and would like to contribute, please feel free to email us at email@example.com
Thank you and pray for Tonga.
What We Do
Sione’s Foundation provides the youth of Tonga with opportunities they didn’t have yesterday. Initially, each October a group of passionate volunteers travel from Australia to the Kingdom of Tonga where they donate their time, energy and expertise to deliver sports, education, health, well-being and construction programs.
Recently, one trip a year has not been enough. We are now sending multiple groups of volunteers to Tonga and starting to affect real community change.
Sione’s Foundation has been borne out the vision of one man, with the help of many. They want every child and young person to have the opportunities in life that they deserve as Tongan children & youth. Sione, his supporters and the Tongan Government are making this dream a reality. The collaborative effort and support of many individuals and businesses since 2017 has driven the vision and goals of Sione’s Foundation.
Our aim is to provide a pathway and opportunity for every child and young person to fulfil their dreams.
Sione’s Foundation Aid Missions
It all started in 2017 with 5 volunteers. We are now aiming to send multiple groups of volunteers each year to continue building on the momentum we have generated within the Tongan community.
School Sports & Well-being
5 volunteers ran school sports clinics and promoted well-being. Opportunities to further meet the needs of the community were identified.
Rebuilt GPS Kolonga Primary School
62 volunteers rebuilt Kolonga Primary School, taught sporting clinics, and delivered medicine, equipment and furniture to the local hospital.
‘Eua Hospital and Alonga Disability Center
Together with the Mullane Foundation, 9 volunteers and a 20ft shipping container, we installed a hot water system to the ‘Eua Hospital and Alonga Disability Center.
Over 90 Passionate Volunteers
On our October 2019 trip our main focus was on the rebuild of the Alonga Disability centre. We also delivered drug and alcohol intervention programs at the gaol and made further improvements at Kolonga Government Primary School.
